Come join us at our new Cider Garden in a converted Airplane Hanger at the end of a grass runway. Follow the signs through the pear orchard and leave the world behind to relax, play yard games, enjoy a picnic and sipping our delicious craft cider. We can’t wait to meet you! Cheers!

165 years ago our ancestor, Josiah Buckman Greene, came to California in search of gold. What he found instead is the rich fertile farmland of the California Delta. Six generations latter we are still farming the same land, each generation improving on and growing the family business and passion for pears. We have worked to maintained the highest of standards for our pears and the surrounding lands. When we decided to make cider, we knew we had to uphold these standards. After years of travel, trials, and testing we are excited to invite you to try our first Pear Cider.

2015 Pear Cider
This limited release of our first ever Pear Cider has been crafted to capture the perfect moment when a Bartlett pear is at its peak of ripe, juicy flavor. The perfection that is a ripe pear can be elusive and we think we captured a taste of it in our inaugural cider.  As much as we love our location in Courtland, California, to our pear trees the region is absolute ‘pearadise’. Nurtured by cold wet winters, rich delta soil and mineral laden Sierra mountain water, our trees produce some of the most flavor packed pears on earth. We have a long tradition of growing for flavor, not shelf life. Our pear cider comes directly from our 165 year old farm in Courtland, California. All our fruit is 100% grown and picked by us. We have used the past 6 generations of pear growing knowledge to pay tribute to our favorite fruit.

Crafted with a blend of bartlett and bosc pears our cider undergoes both a primary and malolactic fermentation. This brings body and buttery notes. It is then aged on oak, giving a beer like structure. A secondary fresh press of bosc and bartlett pears are then blended in for a bright fresh pear taste and aroma. Our cider is lightly carbonated, unfiltered and cloudy with some sediment naturally occurring. Best served at 55 degrees with friends!
