Farms are open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Wineries are open from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Enjoy the whole day; Saturday and/or Sunday, driving from farm to farm or winery along CA Scenic Hwy 160, experiencing what the rural delta life is like. Just minutes from Sacramento and Elk Grove, the Delta region is highly valued for its pears, cherries, wine grapes, corn, alfalfa, asparagus, and vegetables. The delta’s rich soil is ideal for growing plants rather than livestock. Many Delta farms are generational family, 3-6th generation in management, commercial operations that grow a few specialty crops. Some of these commercial operations, along with the smaller, more diverse farms have opened their farms for public educational visits and direct sales. To help you get to our farms until you pick up a Trail Guide at your first stop, see our map on the Farm & Winery Guide page.

Visitors have the opportunity to join farm tours, taste local wines, see farm equipment displays, and enjoy a wide variety of fresh, local produce (pears, tomatoes, melons, squash, stone fruits, sweet corn, zucchini, and beans). Some of our farms grow and sell organic produce and free range eggs. Be sure to check out the Farm/Winery Activities sheet to select your stopping points along the route you would like to visit. Talk with the Delta farmers and see what they have to offer.

Each ticket includes a discount or bonus item at each farm and winery and a Passport wine glass at your first winery stop.  Don’t forget to enter the special “Traveled the Delta Farm and Winery Trail” Passport drawing for a Delta Farm and Winery Trail prize basket when you visit a minimum of 5 farms and/or wineries.

Also, be sure to read the reminders for important tips to help plan your day, remember to bring an ice chest and fill your car with gas before you start your adventure.

For those who would like to stay the weekend in the Delta, see our Passport Weekend Lodging page.

A Farm & Winery Guide will be given to each Passport ticket holder at check in.
